First things first, who is Vetty and why are we here?

Great question. Vetty is a hiring acceleration platform used by the UHealth to make the pre-hire screening process as easy as possible for you. We’re here to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out along the way if you have questions.

We’re going to help you with collecting and submitting information into four main buckets: Background, Health Screening, Professional Verifications, and your Medical History Questionnaire.

Background Checks

We’re an accredited background screening company. Which means you can feel safe and secure knowing we’ll protect your personal information like it was our own.

Professional Verifications

From education background to professional certifications, we’ll help verify you’re all set and ready to work.

Health Screenings

Scheduling health screenings can be a pain. Fortunately, we make it a lot less painful. We’ll help you find the best location and time to schedule your screenings based on your physical location.

Medical Questionnaire

An important step as you get started is making sure you’ve completed any health screening and necessary follow-up to ensure you, our team and our patients are protected in our medical environment. Completing your questionnaire will allow our team to schedule any additional health screening to make sure that’s the case.

Prepare for Success

As part of your onboarding, you will be invited by both email and SMS Text to create an account with Vetty and start uploading your information into your profile. Don’t worry, you don’t need to download an app or install anything on your computer. You can do everything right from your phone, or if you prefer, you can use your computer.

Items you are going to want to have ready to share include:

Legal I.D.

A copy of your Driver’s License, Passport, or Gov’t ID.

Employment History

Details of your previous employment, including Company Name, Address, and Contact Info.

Education History

Details of your highest earned education (if applicable), including institution name and address, degree info, attendance start & end dates, and registrar info.

Professional License & Certifications

An important step is verifying any professional licenses or certifications you’v received. As you set up your profile, you’ll be asked to upload copies of each. Make sure you have them handy and can add them when the time comes.

Immunization Records

Proof of Immunization Records, Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccination Records, or your approved medical or religious exemption.

Scheduling Your Drug Screening

How do I schedule a drug screening or clinical visit?

Upon submitting your personal background details and Medical History Questionnaire, your application will enter a pending stage as the Health Office evaluates the provided information. This review process will help identify the necessary procedures to be conducted during your clinic visit.

After the assessment, the Health Office will arrange your Health Screenings through Vetty. You will receive an email notification from Vetty to schedule your health appointment. To do so, enter your zip code and choose the most convenient clinic. Make sure to check the clinic hours, as your Donor pass will expire after five calendar days.

Please be aware that these clinics operate on a walk-in basis only. While you may call ahead to inquire about wait times, patients are attended to on a first-come, first-served basis.

What do I do if my Donor Pass Expired?

Did you miss your 5 day clinic visit window? Please get in touch with your Recruiter to extend your appointment period for an additional 5 days. Once they Regenerate the pass, you can also update your clinic location by clicking the “Change Location” button in your Vetty Verified Profile.

How can I best prepare for my screening appointment?

We always recommend calling ahead in order to make sure there are no surprises when you arrive. Sometimes labs can have different requirements, so you want to be sure you have what you need.

Generally speaking, however, make sure you have your donor pass, any paperwork requested, your I.D., and drink enough water to be able to provide a urine sample for the drug screening.

How long should I expect the screening to take?

Different locations can have different wait times, but generally you should plan on 1-3 hours.

Submitting Your Medical Questionnaire

How do I submit the Medical History Questionnaire?

The Medical History Questionnaire will automatically show up for you to fill out in your Vetty Verified Profile after you sign the Disclosures and Authorizations for the background check. Once you submit the document, you cannot make any edits to it. If you do require any edits, please contact your Recruiter.

Submitting Additional Information

What if I don’t have all the information I need at the time I create my profile? Can I come back?

Once you begin creating your Vetty Verified Profile, you can save your progress and return to it if you need to gather more information. However, after submitting your profile, you will be unable to make any further edits or updates. This is why we strongly recommend having all the necessary information on hand before starting your profile creation.

How long can I wait before I need to have submitted all my information?

We don’t mean to rush you, but you only have two days from the time you begin to get everything submitted. This is why we recommend you have everything ready beforehand so you can complete your profile right away.

Checking Your Status

How do I check the status of my screening?

Anytime you want to see an update with your background check or drug screening, login to your verified profile and the information will be displayed in your timeline.

How long should I expect this process to take?

The timing on check varies, but generally you can expect the following:

  • Criminal Background Check – 12 to 48 hrs on average.
  • Professional Verifications – 1 to 5 days on average.
